McDonald’s to serve only antibiotic-free chicken in bid to boost image

McDonald’s will stop using chickens that have been given antibiotics as it looks to win back customers that have drifted to its competitors.

McDonald’s MCD 0.52% U.S. division said on March 4th, 2015 that it would stop sourcing chickens raised with antibiotics within two years, and serve low-fat milk from cows that haven’t been treated with an artificial growth hormone, new initiatives aimed at adapting to changing consumer tastes that have sent many of its diners to competitors.
